THE IMP DVD

This unique DVD is the third in a series of four to be finished for the Sunbeam Car Club of New Zealand, by the Wellington Branch.

This DVD contains 6 movies included, on the Imp.
The titles are:

Making the Imp - 1963

The new factory complex to make the Imp was built at Linwood, Scotland and opened by the Duke of Edinburgh on the 2nd May 1963. See the construction, technicalities, worldwide testing and the achievement, "the Imp". Automotive history in the making. The Imp designed before it's time.

North American Imp (Sunbeam Imp) - 1965

A non-stop excursion across North America from Miami in Florida to Fairbanks in Alaska. 6,200 miles in a week in an Imp, 50.1 MPH average, 37.6 miles per gallon. This was covered by air in 1965 where the pilot wears a Tiger T-shirt.

Highland Imp - 1965

Rosemary Smith with Sheila Taylor and 'Tiny' Lewis in the Scottish Rally in 1965 - A rough ride through Scotland. Many well known rally drivers - Paddy Hopkirk, Roger Clark and Andrew Cowan in a works Tiger and John Melvin (Private entry) in another Tiger has a class win. Imps do it well - 2nd overall and 1st and 2nd in their class.

Miss Smith and her Imp - 1965

Rosemary Smith in person and the Imp. Both sound wonderful in the French Alpine Rally 1965. Rosemary driving at her best, the hats look good as well.

Monte Carlo Imp -1967

1967 Rally of the tyres. Monte Carlo Imps are really established as a Rally car that can win. Andrew Cowan and Rosemary Smith with Val Domleo- Cowan takes Class win.
